• Bendigo Community Bank, Community Grant: A huge thank you goes out to the Bendigo Community Bank on granting us $25,000 enabling us to renovate and upgrade the Parish hall, with new paint on the walls through out and the floor refurbished. The floor now looks like new. We also put the grant money towards new energy efficient reverse cycle air conditioning units, replacing the old gas heater. The lights through out the hall complex have also been upgraded to new energy efficient LED lighting throughout.

  • BASS Coast Council Community Grant: A big thank you for providing $500 to pay for the planting of a number of new native tree’s in the grounds of St. Philip’s Church and replacement of shrubs. Parishioners helped with the planting out. After only two weeks there are already signs of new growth.

  • RSL Community Grant Given: A huge thanks goes out to the Phillip Island RSL for granting us $2000, to help towards the repair and painting of the damaged weather boards of St. Philip’s Church here on Phillip Island. Work is expected to start shortly. The church was originally opened in 1870 and is the oldest public building in continuous usage on Phillip Island. We pray that long may it continue, to be a place of worship and outreach here in Cowes.
