THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU to everyone who came and supported this event on Tuesday evening, our Nepali community who cooked and helped out and to those who couldn’t come and who donated anyway. We had a wonderful night, the hall was full to overflowing – twice!! The food was superb. At the time of writing we are nudging $10,000 raised. I have been asked if it is still possible to donate – the answer is YES! You can do this:
* Credit card using the: trybooking link
* EFT/deposit to our bank account (details here) and using the reference ‘NEPAL’ or
* Cash – give me a call and I will let you know how do do this

We will close this particular ‘first response’ effort at the end of Sunday 13 September. We will then post some links of other agencies where you can donate – the recovery is going to take a long time after this disaster.

You will have no doubt heard of the terrible disaster which has befallen Nepal in the last week. St Philip’s is hosting a meal which the Nepalese community here on the Island have agreed to cook. This is the opportunity to raise some much needed funds for the affected people. The meal will be a simple meal including Rice, lentils and curry. Attendees are asked to make a donation around $15/20 or more – as you are able to give. If you are unable to come you can also make a donation! Use this trybooking form to let us know if you are coming (or phone or text your RSVP) – and you can also use this form to make a donation if you cannot attend.

Tuesday 8 September 2026, starting at 6pm Due to the number of bookings coming in the 6pm sitting is booked out! BUT we don’t want to turn anyone away – Bookings now available for the 7pm sitting is also booked out!
